Tama Hoop Earrings No. 1

A light balance of an open oval and two softly rounded forms.

Inspired by the Japanese Tama-musubi knot, the Tama Hoop Earrings No. 1 pair an oval Sterling Silver hoop with a hand-tied Mizuhiki knot and a softly luminous natural stone bead.

The elongated drop shape creates an open space within the hoop, giving the earrings a light, sculptural presence. As they move naturally with you, the texture of the hand-shaped Mizuhiki and the surface of the stone catch the light in subtle ways.

At approximately 1.5 g per earring, they are lightweight and easy to wear, adding a quiet accent to everyday dressing.

About Tama-musubi

Tama-musubi is a rounded form created by winding Mizuhiki into a small, dimensional knot.

At TOKI, we are drawn to the soft volume of the form and the subtle shadows created by its layered lines. As the piece moves, the overlapping Mizuhiki catches the light differently, giving the small motif a changing character.

We reinterpret this form as contemporary jewelry, pairing its tactile quality with natural stone and Sterling Silver.

Mizuhiki is a delicate material traditionally made with a paper cord core.

To help preserve its form and texture, please avoid contact with water and excessive moisture.

Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions, and other cosmetics.

After wearing, gently wipe the earrings with a soft, dry cloth and store them in their box in a cool, dry place.
