TOKI / Time & Season began with a simple idea:
Jewelry should feel like part of your life, not something separate from it.
We wanted to create pieces that could be worn every day—quiet enough to become part of your wardrobe, but with enough character to make you pause and look a little closer.
Our work is shaped by a love of Japanese craft, simple forms, and the beauty that becomes more personal with time.
That is where TOKI begins.
Inspired by Mizuhiki
At the heart of our Musubi Collection is Mizuhiki, the traditional Japanese art of twisting and knotting paper cords.
Mizuhiki has long been used in Japan to decorate and secure gifts, particularly for celebrations and important occasions. Different knots and forms have developed their own meanings and traditions over time.
We were drawn to the simple act of tying.
Separate strands come together to create a single form.
A loop becomes a knot.
A knot becomes a shape.
At TOKI, we reinterpret these familiar forms as contemporary jewelry—keeping the character of the knot while creating pieces designed for everyday wear.

Why Paper and Metal?
We love the contrast between Mizuhiki and metal.
One begins as a delicate paper cord.
The other is shaped through pressure, texture, and repeated movement by hand.
Our Musubi Collection explores the softness and structure of Mizuhiki.
Our Original Collection explores the character of hand-hammered metal, where each small mark changes the way the surface catches the light.
The materials are different, but the approach is the same:
work slowly, pay attention, and let the material guide the process.
For us, this is what handcraft means.
Not simply making something by hand, but allowing time to become part of the finished piece.

We choose our materials with everyday wear in mind.
Our jewelry is made with Sterling Silver 925 and 14K Gold-Filled materials, selected for their beauty, durability, and distinct character.
We also pay close attention to how each piece feels when worn.
Many of our Mizuhiki designs are naturally light, allowing us to create delicate forms without relying on heavy construction.

Many of our pieces are made to order.
This means that when we begin working on a piece, we are not simply making another item for a collection.
We are making a piece for someone.
