A circle of intertwined lines, with a quiet center of light.
Inspired by Aioi-musubi, a form of Japanese Mizuhiki knotting, the Aioi Necklace No. 1 brings together hand-shaped Mizuhiki and a natural white quartz stone.
Multiple layers of Mizuhiki intertwine to form a balanced circular shape around an open center. A softly luminous quartz bead is suspended within the circle, creating a gentle contrast between the structured lines and the open space around it.
At approximately 2.0 g, the necklace is lightweight and easy to wear, adding a subtle sculptural accent to everyday dressing.
Wear it on its own for a clean, distinctive look, or pair it with the Aioi Earrings No. 1 for a coordinated look.

Handcrafted in Tokyo
Each piece is handcrafted in our Tokyo studio.
Because the Mizuhiki is tied and shaped by hand and natural stones vary individually, each piece has subtle variations in form, color, pattern, and texture.
These small differences are part of the character of a handmade piece and natural materials.
About Aioi
The Japanese word “aioi” (相生) carries the idea of growing or living together.
This sense of connection is reflected in the intertwined lines of the Aioi motif, where individual strands come together to create a continuous circular form.
At TOKI, we are drawn to both the structure of the knot and the quiet sense of connection suggested by its name. We reinterpret the form as contemporary jewelry, leaving an open space at the center for light and movement to become part of the design.

Care
Mizuhiki is a delicate material traditionally made with a paper cord core.
To help preserve its form and texture, please avoid contact with water and excessive moisture.
Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotions, and other cosmetics.
After wearing, gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth and store it in its box in a cool, dry place.
